On March 13, Russian occupiers killed New York Times correspondent Brent Renaud in Irpin. This was announced on Facebook by head of the National Police of the Kyiv oblast Andriy Nebytov.
"The occupiers cynically kill even international media journalists who are trying to show the truth about the atrocities of Russian troops in Ukraine. Today, a 51-year-old correspondent of the world-famous media New York Times was shot down in Irpin. Another journalist was wounded. Currently, people are trying to take the victim out of the combat zone", - Nebytov informed.
"Of course, the profession of a journalist involves risks, but the U.S. citizen Brent Renaud paid with his life for trying to highlight the treachery, cruelty and ruthlessness of the aggressor", - Nebytov reported.
