The Verkhovna Rada is canceling plenary sessions this week due to the growth of COVID-19 patients in the parliament. This was announced by speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov at a meeting of the parliament today - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"A large number of people in this hall got sick (with COVID-19 - ed.) yesterday and the day before yesterday… Many people fell ill in the Verkhovna Rada apparatus. Up to ten people fell ill over the past few days. The deputy factions and groups addressed a proposal to define committee days on Thursday and Friday, so that the Verkhovna Rada continues its work and makes it possible to reduce the concentration of people in one room", - he reported.

"I think today we will be able to consider such a resolution", - Razumkov noted.

OstroV earlier reported about 10% of deputies suffering from COVID-19.
