Ukraine is ready "for broad compromises" on the issue of returning the occupied territories of Donbass and Crimea to its control. This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with DW, - LB.ua writes.
In particular, according to him, the authorities are ready to discuss the issue of the special status of these territories within Ukraine.
However, the Foreign Minister stressed, there are "red lines" that cannot be crossed. "We offer Russia a very simple solution: we will never cross our red lines, which are the sovereignty and control of our border. Instead, we are ready to agree on the special status of these regions (Donbass and Crimea, - ed.) within Ukraine, without providing them with the right to veto any national decisions", - Kuleba said.
The Foreign Minister added that Ukraine has already come forward with some initiatives within the framework of the Trilateral Contact Group.
