14 195 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of May 8. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.
"504 people fell ill over the past day, of which 44 children and 98 health workers", - he stated.
According to him, 21 deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded over the past day.
"In total, 14 195 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 977 children and 2 758 health workers. 2706 people recovered and 361 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.
The Minister noted that 7763 tests on COVID-19 were carried out by PCR over the past day.
