Five cases of COVID-19 disease have been laboratory-confirmed in Ukraine as of the morning of March 16, - the Public Health Center of Ukraine reports on Facebook.
"Two women in the Chernivtsi oblast were laboratory-confirmed with COVID-19 on March 16. The patients were isolated, their condition is stable. Work with the contact persons is underway", - the Ministry of Health specifies.
The Center for Public Health of Ukraine has received 94 suspicions of a new coronavirus infection since the beginning of the year.
"According to the results of study of the Center's virological reference laboratory, 5 positive results were obtained on COVID-19: Chernivtsi (4) and Zhytomyr (1) oblasts. In general, the virological reference laboratory of the Center for Public Health of Ukraine examined more than 500 samples", - the Public Health Center said in a statement.
