Hennadiy Kernes was elected head of the Trust the deeds party. Such a decision was unanimously accepted by the delegates of unification congress of the so-called "mayors' party", - Interfax-Ukraine reports.
The newly elected head of the political force invited the delegates to elect mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov as co-chairman of the party. This proposal was put to a vote and delegates also unanimously supported it.
In their speeches, Kernes and Trukhanov declared a number of important points: bringing the law on language to European standards, peace in the Donbass via peaceful means only and continuing the reform of decentralization in Ukraine.
The second stage of the unification congress of the Trust the deeds party will be held in Odessa on June 9.
