Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin wrote a resignation statement. This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda with the reference to its source in General Prosecutor’s Office.
"Shokin has resigned," - said edition’s interlocutor.
As reported by OstroV, Poroshenko called on Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin to resign on February 16th. The President noted Shokin’s achievements in the implementation of important reforms, but said that the GPOU "failed to gain trust of society."
