The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is going to gradually monetize all the existing benefits - following the example of monetization of utility subsidies. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency, - the Government portal reports.
He noted that the monetization of subsidies is not an experiment, but a fundamental project that is important to be continued.
"We made a registry of subsidies last year… The second thing we realized was that from January 1, they began to monetize the subsidy to all those who received it for the first time. This cannot be finished. We have to monetize all the benefits next", - the prime minister said.
The head of government also noted that there was no bad statistics on the non-payment due to the monetization of subsidies.
"The alarmists are trying to wind this up (the topic of non-payment). But this is people's money, and there is no need to decide instead of people where to put this money. The consumer will try to save these funds and save money in order to keep a part of this money for himself", - the prime minister added.
