The police does not intend to reduce the number of internal checkpoints in Donetsk region. This was announced by Head of MD NP in Donetsk region Vyacheslav Abroskin at the press conference in Krasnoarmeysk, - reports Vchasno IA.
According to him, police in Donetsk region records drop in crime in the region, continues to take all security measures at the checkpoints and identify alleged terrorists. "In January we established the involvement of 31 people in terrorism in the region, - said Vyacheslav Abroskin. - All of them are now subject to criminal prosecution."
Realizing that many people feel inconvenience while passing the checkpoint, police has no plans to reduce the number of such checkpoints.
"Checkpoints are just needed in Donbass, - stressed Vyacheslav Abroskin. - If we do not identify the weapons that they try to bring through the checkpoints and roadblocks, then all of them will get to our peaceful towns and explode in the streets. Due to checkpoints and roadblocks now we fully control the situation in the region."
