The "DNR" leader Denis Pushilin has signed a "decree" approving the concept of foreign policy, representing the occupied territories of Donetsk oblast as an independent, sovereign state. The document is posted on the "official" website of "head of the republic".

In particular, it says that the main task of the "DNR" foreign policy is "international worldwide recognition and joining the United Nations Organization".

At the same time, the "decree" notes that at the present time, only South Ossetia recognized the "republic", that is, the puppet formation created by Russia in the occupied lands of Georgia.

As for the "bilateral relations" with Ukraine, "one of the priority goals of foreign policy activity of the "DNR" is to achieve a sustainable peace" within the framework of the Minsk agreements.

As reported, the Minsk agreements does not provide for any independence or recognition of the "DNR". On the contrary, they, first of all, provide for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine by providing the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass with the status of "areas with special order of local self-government". Such concepts as the "DNR" or "LNR", as well as name of any posts of "heads of the republics", do not appear in the Minsk documents at all.
