Rescuers are carrying water to the population and institutions of front-line Toretsk which was left without water supply as a result of leak in the water conduit in grey zone. It is reported by the press service of the State Administration of State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk oblast.

"In order to maintain normal living conditions of the population and ensure the smooth functioning of important infrastructure of the city, rescues provide transportation of drinking and industrial water together with utilities", - the report said.

Today from 8 a.m., rescuers of the 22nd State Fire and Rescue Squad of General Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk oblast deliver water to the population and municipal educational institutions of Toretsk. Also, the supply of water will be carried out today in the village of Pivnichne of the Toretsk city council.

As a result of the "Horlivka-Toretsk" water conduit leak with a diameter of 900 mm in the area of occupied Horlivka (in the so-called grey zone), the centralized water supply of Toretske and Zalizne cities, as well as of Pivnichne and Pivdenne villages was stopped.

As of 8 a.m. of October 17, 42 813 people were left without centralized water supply.
