The miners began to refuse to work in certain areas of Kapitalna mine of the Myrnohradvuhillia state-owned enterprise, demanding payment of salaries. This information was confirmed telephonically by director of the enterprise Oleksandr Stoylovsky, - Orbita broadcasting company reports.
"People began to refuse to work from the third shift on October 10. At Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine clarified that about 50 out of 300 workers from different sections did not go to the first shift today", - the report said.
Meanwhile, the director of the mine notes that the relevant ministry gives no promises about when the Myrnohradvuhillia state-owned enterprise and other enterprises of the industry will receive funds to pay salaries.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Mining of Ukraine Anatoliy Korzun reported that wage arrears to employees of the state-owned coal enterprises reached $16.8 million.
