The prohibition on transport communication with the Russian Federation may affect bus transportation. This is stated in the article of RBK-Ukraina "Locked border: what will the ban on passenger communications with Russia result into".

Earlier, on August 15, the Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan on Facebook wrote a comment with a hint of possible new restrictions on passenger transportation with Russia. "Today we have signed one historical document, only bears will go to Moscow, as in the good old days", - he wrote.

However, Omelyan refused to comment anything to the publication.

"I will inform you after the decision of the Cabinet", - he said.

Unofficial sources told the publication that the restriction may concern not only the previously announced ban on passenger railway services, but also bus transportation. The reasons for such actions are the war with the Russian Federation and the risk for Ukrainian citizens to be detained by Russian special services.

At the same time, the publication‘s sources in the Cabinet of Ministers reported that the government had not yet seen the document with a proposal to close the border with the Russian Federation for railway communications. In any case, only the Cabinet can take such a decision.

As previously reported, Omelyan announced a ban on the passenger communication with Russia on August 6. "We are now considering the option of closing the railway communication with Moscow", - he said.
