The leader of the "DNR" Alexander Zakharchenko gave the order to destroy AFU’s military hardware allegedly to protect civilians. This was stated by Eduard Basurin, the "deputy commander of the army corps of the DNR".
"Fire for effect the enemy's military equipment for the protection of civilians was opened on the orders of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the DNR Alexander Zakharchenko. In case of such attacks, the order for FFE will be immediately given", - Basurin said.
As previously reported, a civilian from frontline village Zaitseve was wounded as a result of shelling by the militants on May 21.
