Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is planning to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron in Aachen on May 10, Deutsche Welle (DW) has reported.
On Thursday, May 3, the administration of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko confirmed the president's intention to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The meeting will be held in Aachen on May 10. “In this case, we are not talking about the so-called Normandy format of the meeting, since it will not include President Vladimir Putin", - Merkel noted earlier.
The said meeting will be held at the Charlemagne Prize awards ceremony; the award will go to Macron - in recognition of his “energetic vision of the new Europe”. During the event, the Ukrainian president will also meet with his French counterpart.
