The "DNR" leader Alexander Zakharchenko has distorted the meaning of Kurt Volcker's statement about the need to abolish the "DNR" and "LNR" as unconstitutional formations, which hamper the implementation of the Minsk agreements. He stated his version of the words of the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine at a press conference in Donetsk.
The militant attempted to present the idea of returning the occupied part of Donbass to the legal boundaries of Ukraine as a call to destroy the residents of these territories.
"The worst thing is that a man of such level is talking about the destruction of 4 million people in order to end the war. Other countries should think about the fact that the U.S. representative speaks about the elimination of so many people", - the "DNR" leader stated.
As reported, the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker stated that the Russian-created "DNR" and "LNR" formations in the Donbass should be liquidated because they do not comply with the Constitution of Ukraine and do not appear in the Minsk agreements.
The Minsk agreements, first of all, provide for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine by providing the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass with the status of "districts with a special order of local self-government". Such concepts of the "DNR" or "LNR", as well as the posts of "heads of the republics", are not mentioned in the Minsk documents at all.
