The leader of the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People's Republic" Alexander Zakharchenko admitted that the militants had completely destroyed allegedly "liberated" villages. He said this at the presentation of the "recovery" project of Kozhevnya village on January 25th, - reports the separatist website of the DPR.
"It is a landmark village personally for me. It was our first serious fighting and the first offensive operation. Unfortunately, during the fighting we almost destroyed the village. And for me personally, as a man who had to save my men and burn houses, I want to restore this village,"- said the head of the militants.
Thus, Zakharchenko said that the lives of militants were saved due to the burnt houses.
"And still by burning the houses, we have saved our life and lives of people," - he said cynically.
