Even in the absence of Vodafone network in the occupied Donbass, subscribers have to pay for nonexistent services according to the tariff plan. This was told OstroV in the online chat of the mobile operator.
Answering the question about what will happen to the funds on subscribers' accounts in the uncontrolled territories that have no access from the network since January 11, the consultant reported that "the presence or absence of the network does not affect the withdrawal of money from the account. If a tariff or services with a subscription fee are connected, the amounts needed continue to be charged".
At the same time, it was said nothing about the prospects of restoring mobile communications in the occupied Donbass. "At the moment, there is no news on the situation".
When asked about the progress of repair work, another consultant of Vodafone "hotline" answered that it has not yet been possible to determine the location of the optical fiber cable damage.
As previously reported, on January 11, Vodafone (MTS) mobile communication disconnected throughout the occupied territory of Donbass. Earlier, the mobile operator stated that switches all its subscribers who live in occupied territory of the Donetsk and the Luhansk oblasts to "Smartphone Standard" tariff, which provides a daily subscription fee of $0.11. This is allegedly explained by the inability of normal maintenance in ATO zone.
