Unknown individuals shot at the car of volunteer Donbass soldier and paramedic Amina Okueva, a Ukrainian citizen of Chechen ethnicity. She died in the attack, while her husband was wounded, as Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Herashchenko wrote on Facebook, - 112.Ukraine reports.
According to Herashchenko, the car was shot at while waiting at the railroad crossing near Hlevakha. The investigation is underway on the site.
"The heart of Ukrainian patriot Amina Okueva has just stopped. Her car came under fire from the bushes at a railway crossing near the village of Hlevakha in Kyiv region. Amina died as a result of wounds that she sustained", - he wrote.
He said that Osmayev was injured, but would live. "I have just spoken with him on the phone", - Herashchenko said.
The couple was assaulted before. On June 1, 2017, a killer pretending to be a journalist for Le Monde tried to murder Adam Osmayev and Amina Okueva. He was inside the car with the couple and opened fire. Then, Adam Osmaev was wounded, but his wife managed to fire at the attacker four times, due to which he was successfully detained. The killer turned out to be related to Ramzan Kadyrov, the incumbent pro-Kremlin president of Chechen Republic. With him, he had documents of a citizen of Ukraine in the name of Alexander Dakar.
Adam Osmayev and Amina Okueva are Chechen volunteers who took part in the fighting in the Donbass on the side of the ATO forces. Since 2015, Osmayev is the commander of the Dzhokhar Dudayev Battalion. Amina Okueva was a sniper, - the report says.
