In the third quarter of 2017, Russian gas monopolist Gazprom cleared entry customs of two consignments of natural gas for the occupied part of the Donetsk and the Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine at an average price of $239.4 per thousand cubic meters, while the reverse gas from Europe for this period cost Ukraine about $214.5 per thousand cubic meters. This is evidenced by the data of the Russian customs, - LIGA.net reports.

It is noted that in July a small consignment of gas in the volume of about 288 thousand cubic meters was cleared for the CDDLO for $232.5 per thousand cubic meters. On September 18, the Russian customs authorities issued a delivery to Ukraine of 1.200 million cubic meters ($287.3 million) for $239.4 per thousand cubic meters.

Deliveries of gas are registered at Naftogaz of Ukraine as the final buyer. Ukrainian gas holding does not buy gas from Gazprom since November 2015, and according to Naftogaz, deliveries to uncontrolled territories are carried out by the Russian monopolies arbitrarily.

"Previously, the management of Gazprom repeatedly stated that gas supplies to the CDDLO continue on the basis of a 2009 contract with Naftogaz. Thus, the price of $239.4 per thousand cubic meters can be considered a contract price for the 3rd quarter of 2017 under the existing contract", - LIGA.net writes.

At the same time, according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the average price of gas imports from Europe to Ukraine in July was $214.5 per thousand cubic meters, in August - $210.1, in September - $212.9.

In the second quarter of this year (April-June), Gazprom sold 301.6 million cubic meters of gas to the CDDLO for $238.6 per thousand cubic meters. In particular, in April the delivery of 1.4 million cubic meters was made for $298 thousand (for a price $210.6 per thousand cubic meters), and in June - 300.2 million cubic meters for $71.7 million (price - $238.76). In May, the delivery of gas was not recorded.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, in April Ukraine imported gas from Europe for $232.2 per thousand cubic meters, in May - for $208.4, in June - for $214.5. According to Gazprom's reports, in the first quarter of this year the company delivered over 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas to the occupied territories of the Donetsk and the Luhansk oblasts.

As previously reported, in 2016, Gazprom supplied 2.39 billion cubic meters of gas to Ukraine's uncontrolled territories, which is 40.6% or 0.69 billion more than in 2015. In 2015, Gazprom supplied to the Donbass 1.7 billion cubic meters of gas at a price of $186 per thousand cubic meters.
