The "DNR" has stated that Internet connection troubles in the occupied territory are associated with the disconnection of datacomms channels by the Ukrainian party. This was stated today by the so-called "Minister of Communications" of the DNR Viktor Yatsenko, - the separatist media report.

"In connection with the disconnection of datacomms channels by the Ukrainian party on a unilateral basis, certain difficulties arose in the provision of Internet connection services for some telecommunications operators of the Donetsk People's Republic", - Yatsenko said.

On what terms Ukraine provided the occupied territories with the Internet, the "minister" did not explain.

According to him, the "DNR" is carrying out "a set of measures to switch to new telecommunications channels", which they promise to complete before the end of this week.

As previously reported, the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast experience disruptions of the Internet connection. Users complained about long interruptions in the work of the Internet or its slow speed. Providers' customer support services cannot be reached or their hotlines are overloaded.
