“Leaders must finally put an end to it. Let’s hope for that. ...You understand that we cannot put either a positive or a negative end without a personal meeting (putin with Zelensky — OstroV). And the russians understand this as well. Believe me, all of this will happen anyway”, - said the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, in a joint interview with Ukrinform and Novosti.LIVE, published on April 10.
Regarding negotiations on unlocking the €90 billion tranche, Budanov said: “This is a matter of negotiations with many participants, not only with Hungary. That is all I will say on this matter, and this process continues. This is a very difficult issue, extremely complex, but I think we will find a solution. Possibly not an easy one — but we will find it”.
When asked, “Can you elaborate a bit on in which direction this difficult decision might be made?” Budanov replied: “While the negotiation process is ongoing, no. This would create preconditions for its disruption”.
