The kremlin is demanding that Ukraine make an immediate decision to withdraw Ukrainian troops beyond the borders of Donbas. This was stated by the press secretary of the president of russia, Dmitry Peskov, russian media report.
“Volodymyr Zelensky must already today make a decision for Ukrainian troops to leave beyond the administrative borders of Donbas. This has already been stated many times. And, in essence, Zelensky should have made such a decision already yesterday. To take responsibility and make this difficult decision”, - said Dmitry Peskov.
In this way, he commented on the words of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, that russia had issued Kyiv a new ultimatum regarding the withdrawal of troops from Donbas.
According to him, the decision to withdraw the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the territory of Donetsk oblast could “stop the hot phase of this war”.
Peskov added that in case of refusal, the russian side threatens to achieve this goal by military means.
