Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk signed a framework agreement on disengagement of forces and military equipment. Press-secretary of the representative of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma Darka Olifer wrote about that on Facebook.

"To continue the Ukrainian side signed this framework decision in order to ensure the implementation of the Minsk agreements by SDLDR. The document envisages the de-escalation in the area of the contact line and actually creates the conditions in which small arms cannot be used for attacks. At the same time, the framework decision provides for full implementation of the previous agreements of the Tripartite Contact Group on withdrawal of guns of less than 100 mm in calibre from the contact line," - she wrote.

According to the framework agreement on disengagement of forces and means, the OSCE SMM conducts "permanent monitoring and verification of forces and means of the disengagement process in agreed areas of the contact line."

"It should be noted that the withdrawal is planned only in three areas with well-defined coordinates. At the same time, the Ukrainian side believes that in the course of implementation of the framework agreement approaches to a possible disengagement of forces and means along the demarcation line can be worked out," -said Olifer.

According to her, while preparing the document, the Ukrainian side completely eliminated attempts to free interpretation of parameters and the demarcation line status, as the text of the framework agreement stipulates that this document was adopted in the course of the protocol of September 5th, 2014, a memorandum of September 19th, 2014, the SET of Measures to implement the Minsk agreement of February 12th, 2015

The Framework decision was signed by Leonid Kuchma from Ukraine, Martin Sajdik from the OSCE, Boris Gryzlov from Russia.
