He also noted that Ukraine highly values the PURL program.
"This winter is the most difficult for Ukraine, but the missiles for air defense systems that we can purchase in the United States greatly help us get through all these challenges and protect lives", - Zelensky wrote.
In addition, on the morning of February 26, Axios, citing "sources familiar with the call", reported that Trump told Zelensky of his desire to end the war within a month.
According to Axios sources, Zelensky expressed hope that a peace agreement would be signed by the end of 2026, however Trump noted that the hostilities have lasted too long and that he wants them to end within a month.
Axios interlocutors reported that the conversation between Trump and Zelensky on the evening of February 25 was very friendly and lasted half an hour. The Ukrainian president thanked the head of the White House for assistance and said that only he can make putin stop the war. After that, the presidents discussed a trilateral meeting with putin. Following the conversation, Zelensky stated that at the beginning of March it is planned to hold a trilateral meeting of Ukraine, the United States, and russia.
