"The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution in support of peace in Ukraine. The resolution calls for an immediate, full, and unconditional ceasefire between russia and Ukraine", - BBC reported on February 24.

"107 states voted in favor of the resolution titled 'Support for a lasting peace in Ukraine', 12 voted against, and 51 countries, including the United States, abstained", - the statement says.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha welcomed the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution.

"In decisive moments, the international community must be clear in its position. Today is exactly such a moment. For us, this is not just another vote. It is confirmation that Ukraine is not alone — and that the principles of the UN Charter still matter. We are grateful to all 107 member states that supported this clear signal. We will continue to act — firmly and consistently — to achieve a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in accordance with the UN Charter and international law", - Sybiha stated on social media X.
