Decisions on the recognition of Russia as the aggressor state and the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" as the terrorist organizations have been adopted at the third plenary session of the seventh extraordinary session of Zaporozhye Regional Council on Tuesday, September 20th. It is reported by Ukrinform.
Appeal to the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada "for the restoration of justice and recognition of ATO volunteers as combatants" was adopted by 45 votes "for"; one of the deputies registered in the hall didn’t vote.
It took several attempts as for the adoption of the statement of deputies of Zaporozhye Regional Council to support the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as of 27.01.2015 to the UN and other international institutions on the recognition of the Russian Federation as the aggressor and the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" as terrorist organizations. But in the end, it was decided by 43 votes "for"; three deputies from the Nash Kray abstained.
At the same time, the regional council failed to make a decision on the prohibition of touring for artists who openly support the aggression of the Russian Federation, the occupation of the Crimea and do not recognize fake "people's republics" of Donbass as terrorist. There weren’t enough votes to support it: 31 out of 35 voted "for".
