"There are different views on World War III. I believe that putin started it. The question is how much territory he can seize, and the question is how to stop him. Not because russia should not win, but because russia wants to impose its own world and change people's lives — lives they like and choose for themselves. Therefore, I believe and have believed that putin has already started this war. And we are stopping him from a broader war, a full-scale, third world war. Today we are the outpost and we are stopping putin", - said the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in a conversation with a correspondent of the BBC, as cited by the Office of the President.
Zelensky also emphasized that "today air defense is the most difficult issue".
"Unfortunately, partners are not yet granting licenses for us to produce, for example, Patriot systems ourselves or at least produce missiles for the systems we already have. So far, we have not succeeded in this", - the President noted.
"How can Ukraine become stronger in this war? Everything is clear: close the sky. If civilians are protected, our rear is secured, people work, children are in schools, the economy functions, there is money, there are taxes going to the front. In this way, we strengthen the army. Unfortunately, this is not yet the case. We need licenses at least for missiles", - Zelensky pointed out.
