“Consultations are taking place in groups by areas within the political and military blocks. We are working on clarifying the parameters and mechanics of the decisions discussed yesterday. We are expecting substantive work. We will provide additional information on the results”, — said the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, on Telegram.
As reported, on February 17 in Switzerland the first day of talks between Ukraine, the United States and russia took place. The discussion included political and military blocks. A special feature of the meeting in Geneva was that representatives of United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and France also arrived there for consultations. Ukraine and Europe have long insisted that Europeans be at the negotiating table as a fourth party, but so far agreement exists only on a trilateral format.
