The victim of a shootout at a restaurant in the elite village of Gorki-2 in Moscow turned out to be the head of the Ukrainian Oplot public organization Yevgeniy Zhilin. It is reported by Russian Interfax referring to a source in law enforcement.

"Tonight an unknown offender fired several shots from a pistol at two visitors at Veterok restaurant located in Gorki-2 "on Rublev-Uspensky highway in Moscow suburbs and then disappeared," - said the source.

As a result, he said, a 40-year-old citizen of Ukraine, a member of the Ukrainian Oplot movement Yevgeniy Zhilin, known as a Euromaidan critic died from injuries. His companion, Andrey Kozyrev, was taken to a nearby hospital.

Earlier, another source told Interfax that one person was killed and another one was seriously injured and hospitalized as a result of the shooting at Veterok restaurant.

According to preliminary information, the killer was waiting for their victims at a table in the restaurant and opened fire as soon as they entered the restaurant. After the murder, he went left in a car with the driver that was waiting for him near the restaurant, - said the source.
