“The European Parliament supported the European Commission’s proposal to provide Ukraine with a €90 billion loan to finance military and budget expenditures. European Commissioner for Economy Valdis Dombrovskis reported this on social network X”, - the Telegram channel “Suspilne Novyny” wrote on February 11.
The loan is scheduled for 2026–2027 and consists of €60 billion in military aid and €30 billion in budget support through EU borrowing.
Now the decision must be approved by the European Council — after that, the European Commission will be able to make the first payment at the beginning of the second quarter of this year.
