After the conclusion of a peace agreement, armed forces, aircraft, and maritime support from those NATO countries that have agreed to help will immediately appear in Ukraine. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, RBC-Ukraine reported on February 3, citing the broadcast.

“We want not only an end to this war, we are thinking about the future and striving to ensure long-term peace so that children can grow up in freedom and look to the future without fear and build a great nation”, - Rutte said.

He added that in addition to strong Armed Forces, Ukraine needs powerful support from its allies.

“The United States, Europe, and Canada have expressed readiness to provide certain security guarantees. The ‘coalition of the willing’ has made progress in designing these guarantees, in particular last month in Paris, and President Zelensky spoke about this”, - the head of the Alliance noted.

Rutte emphasized that after a peace agreement is reached, armed forces, aircraft, and maritime support from those allies who have agreed to help will immediately appear. Other NATO members will assist in other ways.

“To end this war, difficult choices are needed. Ukraine must understand that every sacrifice, every life lost, and the hardships endured will not be repeated soon, and that the peace will be long-lasting and supported by major countries. You do not want a repeat of a second ‘Budapest Memorandum’ or another ‘Minsk’”, - Rutte stressed.
