“It would be a mistake to count on some kind of high effectiveness from the first contacts. This is a very complex substance, with difficult issues on the agenda. But the very fact that these contacts have begun in a constructive manner can be assessed positively”, - TASS reported on January 26, quoting the press secretary of the russian dictator Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, friendliness at the talks is hardly possible, but if they are taking place, then something needs to be achieved.
Peskov also called for not discussing individual provisions of the negotiation process on Ukraine. According to him, the so-called “Anchorage formula” was agreed upon, which foresees the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Donetsk oblast.
At present, the talks are being conducted by a working group and are at an initial stage. At the same time, according to the press secretary, the continuation of trilateral contacts on the Ukrainian settlement is scheduled for next week, although there is no exact date yet. According to media reports, the talks may take place on February 1.
