“According to the Ministry of Economic Development of russia, in November 2025 russia’s GDP grew by only 0.1% year-on-year. This is the worst figure since the beginning of 2023 and an actual signal that the economy is entering stagnation”, - the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) reports.
For the first time in nine months, industrial production slipped into negative territory (-0.7%).
“Obviously, this is not about seasonal fluctuations, because it was industry that formed the basis of the ‘war-driven growth’ that formally sustained economic indicators in 2023–2024. Even analysts loyal to the kremlin are recording a sharp increase in the risk of recession in 2026. They state: the economic model that rested on three pillars — budget pumping, import substitution, and forced lending — has exhausted itself”, - the center’s statement says.
