Peskov stated that moscow highly values the peaceful initiatives of the U.S. administration aimed at a political and diplomatic resolution of the "Ukrainian crisis".
However, he added that any negotiations on Ukraine should only take place on the condition that all of russia’s strategic goals are achieved and the causes of the conflict, which became the pretext for the start of the special military operation, are eliminated.
The kremlin press secretary also stated that the meeting between putin and Witkoff is scheduled to begin in five hours.
