
“This morning, russian troops carried out a massive strike on the ‘Shumensky’ neighborhood in Kherson. The occupiers shelled the city with multiple launch rocket systems precisely when people were heading to work and public transport was already carrying passengers. According to preliminary data, two women were killed. Twenty-four people were injured”, - reported the National Police of Ukraine on October 24.
It is noted that all the injured suffered mine-explosive and cranial injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds. Among the injured are three children aged 15, 16, and 17.
“As a result of the shelling, fires broke out. In total, 23 apartment buildings and 58 private houses were damaged, along with nine civilian cars, a police service vehicle, two ambulances, a public bus, and a trolleybus”, - the report said.
At the scene, law enforcement officers documented the aftermath of another war crime by the russian federation and provided assistance to the victims.
