"I am grateful to the leaders of Europe for their clear support of our independence, territorial integrity, and precisely such an active approach to diplomacy that can help end this war with a dignified peace. Indeed, we all support President Trump’s determination and must together form such positions that will not allow russia to deceive the world once again. We see that the russian army is not preparing to end the war. On the contrary, they are engaging in movements that indicate preparations for new offensive operations. In such conditions, it is important that nothing threatens the unity of the world", - President Zelensky stated on Telegram, publishing a link to the joint statement of the leaders of 26 EU countries on August 12.
According to Zelensky, issues concerning the security of Ukraine and Europe "are discussed by all of us together".
"Any decision must add to the common security capabilities. And for the refusal to stop the killings, russia must be held accountable. As long as they continue the war and occupation, we must all together continue our pressure – pressure of force, pressure of sanctions, pressure of diplomacy. Thanks to everyone who helps! Peace through strength", - noted the President of Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that the leaders of 26 EU countries signed a statement on the Trump–putin talks in Alaska. Orban was the exception.
