In the war unleashed by the russian federation against Ukraine, a temporary “freezing” is possible. This opinion was expressed by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk after a conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by The Guardian, TSN informs.

“There are certain signals, I also have the intuition that it is possible, the freezing of the conflict – I don’t want to talk about the end of the war, but about the freezing of the conflict – could happen sooner rather than later”, - the Polish Prime Minister stated.

Tusk said that during the conversation, Zelensky was “very cautious, but still optimistic”. “The Ukrainian side is very interested in Europe, including Poland, taking part in shaping this future truce, and then peace. We are also very interested in this, so that peace reigns in our region, because this will also have a very positive impact on our security”, - he added.

President Zelensky also shared the results of the conversation with the Polish Prime Minister.

“I spoke with the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk. We managed to discuss many things: our work for peace, joint defense production, support for Ukrainians, and the negotiation process for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union”, - the head of state noted.
