This was stated by russian official Oleg Koltsov, appointed by the kremlin to manage port city of Mariupol, during a personal reception of citizens in one of the districts.

According to him, during the russian assault on Mariupol, about 10,000 families lost their homes: around 5,000 families received orders for compensation apartments, while another 5,000 remain on the waiting list.

The gauleiter confirmed that apart from 6 houses not yet “transferred to the municipal balance”, no more compensation housing will be built. About 500 apartments will be completed in these buildings. “This number will not allow for a significant improvement in the housing queue”, - Koltsov admitted.

The remaining 4,500 families, the “mayor” plans to resettle using the “municipal housing fund”, which is being formed by seizing so-called “ownerless” apartments.

The process of forming this fund is under the personal control of the head of the so-called “DNR”, Denis Pushilin.
