In occupied Donetsk, explosions were heard during the night of July 28 to 29. Local social media reported a drone attack on the city center, as well as the Kyivskyi, Leninskyi, Kirovskyi, and Kuibyshevskyi districts.
A video also captured the moment of an explosion in the Kirovskyi district.
In Azotne in the Kuybyshevskyi district, an apartment building caught fire after the strike.
Posts mention hits on several substations. More than 150,000 households in Donetsk, Makiivka, and Yasynovata are without electricity as a result of the shelling.
In the morning, social media shared photos and videos showing the aftermath of the drone strike on the city center — damages to the "Pushkinsky" business center.
Consequences of a hit in the "Favorit" residential complex in the Kyivskyi district of Donetsk were also posted.
Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC, Andriy Kovalenko, commented on the attack in his Telegram channel at night: "The logistics of the russians are consistently suffering — from Volgograd before, and now in temporarily occupied Donetsk. All this will affect the pace of russian reserves in the east".
