“A high-level meeting can and should put an end to the settlement process and formalize the modalities of the agreements that must be developed during expert-level work. Doing the opposite is impossible. Can such a complex process be completed in 30 days? Obviously, that’s unlikely”, - said the press secretary of the russian dictator, Dmitry Peskov, at a briefing on July 25.
He also stated that the draft memorandums exchanged by the russian and Ukrainian delegations during the second round of negotiations are “diametrically opposed”.
“It’s unlikely they can be reconciled instantly; this will require very complex diplomatic work”, - the kremlin spokesperson suggested.
As reported earlier, military expert Pavlo Lakiichuk explained why a ceasefire this year is highly unlikely.
