On the morning of July 1, long-range SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) drones struck the production facilities and storage areas of the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Kupol", located in the republic of Udmurtia. The distance to the target was over 1,300 kilometers, reports the Telegram channel “Operatyvnyi ZSU” citing its own sources in the SBU.
"This enterprise fulfills orders for the russian Ministry of Defense: it specializes in manufacturing 'Tor' and 'Osa' surface-to-air missile systems, and is also the developer of the 'Harpia' strike drone. The plant is under international sanctions as part of the russian military-industrial complex. At least two SBU drone hits on the plant buildings were recorded, after which a fire broke out", - the statement reads.
"The SBU continues to strike russian military-industrial complex enterprises with surgical precision—those working for the war against Ukraine. Each such special operation reduces the enemy’s offensive potential, disrupts military production chains, and demonstrates: even in the deep rear of russia, there are no safe zones for its military infrastructure", - a source in the SBU noted.
