Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Brazil, as a signatory to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), would have to ignore legal norms to allow vladimir putin to attend the G20 Summit there. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

Speaking at the latest international United for Justice conference on russia's shelling of Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, Zelensky pointed out that there are countries in the world that have ratified the Rome Statute and others that are not signatories but are global players on the world stage.

"The G20 Summit will take place in a few months... We have heard from Brazil that they plan to invite putin. But for this to happen, they would have to bypass the law, destroy the rule of law, and ignore the Rome Statute once again. Shouldn't there be accountability for this?", - the President emphasized.
