The German government, in collaboration with Denmark, has recently provided Ukraine with eight additional Leopard 1A5 tanks. This information is from a list of German military aid published on the German government’s website, as reported by ua.news.

As of Monday, July 29, Ukraine has received 58 Leopard 1A5 tanks from Germany, an increase from the previous 50. Additionally, Kyiv has been supplied with 21,000 rounds of ammunition for Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft systems, as well as two Bergepanzer 2 armored recovery and repair vehicles with spare parts.

The list also includes 10 surface drones, 10 ground surveillance radars, nearly 25,000 combat helmets, and a field hospital.

Earlier, German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck admitted that Ukraine had received insufficient weaponry from the West. In the first half of 2024, the volume of export licenses for military equipment issued by the German government totaled at least €7.48 billion, with the vast majority intended for Ukraine.
