In Melitopol, the russian occupiers claim as their achievement the "opening" of a maternity hospital, which was thoroughly renovated and equipped with the best equipment right before the russian invasion. This is reported by RIA "Melitopol".
The appointed head doctor of the medical institution, Anatolii Skydaniuk, serves as a mouthpiece for the occupation propaganda. He regularly appears in local media and tells the story of how the modern "perinatal center" was opened in Melitopol in 2023 thanks to russia.
In reality, the "perinatal center" they claim to have opened is the Melitopol Maternity Hospital, which underwent major repairs and was equipped with modern equipment in May 2021. For this purpose, the European Investment Bank and the local budget allocated 63 million hryvnias. Skydaniuk, who was the chief physician of the Melitopol maternity hospital at the time, made statements to the media that it was the most modern medical institution in Ukraine, and women from all over Ukraine and even from Israel wanted to give birth here.
After the russian occupation of Melitopol, the collaborator forgot his previous words and never tires of repeating that the modern maternity hospital is entirely the achievement of the invaders.
