The russian city of Engels, where the airfield of the russian strategic aviation is located, was attacked overnight on March 20, thanks to the efforts of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, sources in the intelligence told Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, drones of Ukrainian production were used during the attack.
"Targets hit, results are being clarified", - the Main Intelligence Directorate reported.
At the same time, it is not disclosed which specific targets were hit and their quantity.
Tonight, drones attacked the city of Engels in the Saratov oblast. This information was confirmed in his Telegram channel by the governor of the oblast, Roman Busargin. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or destruction, he wrote.
Russian Telegram channels published videos where sounds of explosions could be heard. Local residents reported hearing from two to four loud explosion sounds over the city, causing "windows to shake in their frames".
