British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is set to visit Kyiv today and announce a new package of military aid for Ukraine. This was reported by the British government's website and Sky News on January 12.

"Mr. Sunak will sign an Agreement on Cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom in the field of security with President Volodymyr Zelensky. This agreement commits the United Kingdom to exchange intelligence, ensure cybersecurity, provide medical and military training, and engage in defense-industrial cooperation", - the statement said.

It is noted that the new agreement will also require the United Kingdom to assist Ukraine in case it faces another attack from russia.

In Britain, it has also been announced that military funding for Ukraine will increase to £2.5 billion in 2024-2025, with at least £200 million allocated for the urgent purchase and production of thousands of strike and maritime drones.

During the visit, Sunak is expected to announce additional humanitarian aid and assistance for strengthening Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Additionally, the United Kingdom will provide extra funding and resources for English language education in Ukraine.
