The spokesperson for the Unified Press Center of the Forces of the Tavria Direction, Oleksandr Shtupun, stated that the battles for the town of Marinka in the Donetsk oblast are still ongoing. He made this statement during a national Ukrainian TV news marathon on December 25.
"The fighting for Marinka continues. Currently, our servicemen are within the administrative borders of Marinka, but the town is completely destroyed. However, it would be incorrect to speak of a complete capture of Marinka by the enemy", - he said.
As reported, russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to putin about the capture of the Ukrainian Marinka.
