President of Switzerland, Viola Amherd, stated that the Pope has been invited to the Global Peace Summit, which will take place on June 15-16. She revealed this in an interview with the publication Blick, as reported by Suspilne.
On the eve of May 4, Amherd visited Rome and met with Pope Francis.
"I had an interesting conversation with the Pope in a warm atmosphere. We talked, among other things, about the war in Ukraine and other troubled spots in the world. We have invited the Holy See. The Vatican highly appreciates the peace conference", - the politician noted.
