A maternity hospital in russian Rostov-on-Don has been converted into a military hospital for wounded individuals from the war in Ukraine, as reported by local media with references to medical staff and expectant mothers.

"Pregnant women at the maternity hospital affiliated with City Hospital No. 7 in Rostov-on-Don were urgently discharged because they started bringing wounded participants of the war in Ukraine there", - wrote one of the publications.

It is reported that all pregnant women were redistributed to other facilities at the end of February. According to medical professionals, no one was informed about this in advance.

"One of the patients complained that she was kicked out a day before giving birth under the pretext of closing the medical facility. Because of this, she had to travel to Novocherkassk", - the statement also said.

One midwife mentioned that the medical staff were offered to stay and work in the hospital. However, for this, the healthcare workers were required to undergo a three-month training course as a military field medic at the 1602nd Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense, and after that, "work a bit in the special military operation zone".

"The Ministry of Health of the Rostov oblast stated that the department was closed 'for the period of final disinfection until April 15, 2024'", - specified the Telegram channel "Donbass. Vazhno".

Earlier reports indicated that a military hospital in the occupied Simferopol was filled to capacity: wounded individuals are being brought in by trucks.
